Conditions We Treat
Every body is unique, and so is every patient. Dr. Sumner will provide individualized chiropractic care to help address the underlying causes of pain and dysfunction, restore movement, and support your body’s ability to function at its best. Explore some of the common conditions we help patients manage below.

Neck Pain
Neck pain can develop from a variety of factors, including poor posture, prolonged sitting or screen time, muscle tension, repetitive activities, injuries, or everyday stress. It may present as stiffness, aching, headaches, reduced range of motion, or discomfort that extends into the shoulders and upper back.

Our approach to neck pain is focused on restoring movement, reducing discomfort, and addressing the factors contributing to your symptoms. By combining hands-on care with active rehabilitation, we aim to help you move more comfortably and confidently while supporting long-term function.

Sciatica
Sciatic pain can occur when the sciatic nerve or the structures surrounding it becomes irritated, often causing pain, tingling, numbness, weakness, or discomfort that travels from the low back or buttock into the leg. Symptoms can vary widely depending on the underlying cause and may be influenced by factors such as joint irritation, muscle tension, movement patterns, or disc-related conditions.

Our approach focuses on understanding what may be contributing to your symptoms and improving how your spine, pelvis, and surrounding tissues move and function together.Â

Headaches & Migraines
Headaches and migraines can interfere with work, sleep, exercise, and everyday life. They can be influenced by a variety of factors, including muscle tension, posture, stress, restricted movement in the neck and upper back, and other underlying contributors.
Our care focuses on identifying patterns and addressing areas of tension and restricted movement. The goal is to help reduce contributing tension, improve mobility, and help you feel more comfortable and capable in your daily life.

Prenatal Care
Pregnancy brings significant changes to the body as it adapts to support a growing baby. These changes can contribute to discomfort in the low back, pelvis, hips, ribs, and other areas, as well as changes in posture, mobility, and overall movement.
Prenatal chiropractic care focuses on supporting comfortable movement and helping your body adapt to the physical demands of pregnancy.
Â
Care can include gentle, pregnancy-appropriate chiropractic techniques, myofascial release, mobility work, stretching, and therapeutic exercises tailored to each stage of pregnancy. Our goal is to help you stay comfortable, mobile, and active throughout pregnancy while providing care that is appropriate for you and your changing body.

Back Pain
Back pain can affect your ability to work, exercise, sleep, and enjoy everyday activities. It may result from muscle tension, prolonged sitting, repetitive movements, changes in mobility, injuries, or other factors affecting the muscles, joints, and surrounding tissue.
Â
We look beyond the location of your pain to better understand how your body is moving and what may be contributing to the problem. Our goal is to help restore strength, mobility, and confidence in your movement so you can get back to the activities you enjoy.Â

Vertigo/Dizziness
Vertigo is a sensation of spinning, dizziness, or feeling off-balance that can make everyday activities uncomfortable or difficult. It can have many different causes, including issues involving the inner ear, the nervous system, or the neck and surrounding structures. Dizziness can have several underlying causes, so identifying the source of your symptoms is an important first step.

Treatment may include the Epley's Maneuver, gentle chiropractic techniques, myofascial release, mobility exercises, balance and coordination exercises, and other individualized strategies based on your presentation.

Extremities
Pain and discomfort aren’t limited to the spine. Problems affecting the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, hips, knees, ankles, and feet can impact your strength, mobility, and ability to participate in the activities you enjoy. Common concerns may include carpal tunnel symptoms, joint pain, muscle strains, overuse injuries, and movement-related discomfort.

Extremity care is designed to improve joint mobility, soft-tissue function, and overall movement mechanics. Treatment may include chiropractic adjustments, myofascial release, soft-tissue techniques, targeted stretching, and therapeutic exercises to address areas of restriction or weakness. By looking at how the affected area functions both on its own and as part of the body as a whole, we can help you move with greater comfort, strength, and confidence.

Sports Injuries
Sports and athletic activities place unique demands on the body, and injuries can affect everything from the neck and back to the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles. Whether you’re dealing with an acute injury, overuse, or lingering discomfort from a previous injury, proper care can help you safely return to the activities you enjoy.

Our approach combines hands-on care with active rehabilitation to help restore mobility, strength, and function. Treatment may include chiropractic adjustments, myofascial release and soft-tissue techniques, therapeutic exercises, stretching, and supportive taping techniques when appropriate. We focus on not only helping you recover from your current injury, but also rebuilding strength and movement so you can return to your sport with greater confidence.
